Each State Defense Force has a varied set of requirements to join their State Defense Force / State Guard, however many are similar to the same requirements to that of The National Guard. However, State Defense Forces often waiver many requirements such as physical disabilities that would prohibit an individual from joining The National Guard. Many former Veterans who have a disability and wish to serve again will likely be able to join their State Defense Force.
