The 3rd Detachment and 102nd Detachment of the New York Guard (State Defense Force) recently held training on forklift operations. The New York Guard has been called up multiple times on State Active Duty the last few years to assist the National Guard in supply & logistical operations. One of the key goals of the NY Guard is to certify as many of its troops in forklift operations so they can be relied upon in future missions.
