The Connecticut Foot Guards’s First Company recently participated in the inaugural ceremony for Governor Ned Lamont. This event marks the second term for Ned Lamont as Governor of Connecticut. The Foot Guard joined The Connecticut Army National Guard and Air National Guard in celebration of the event.
On January 4th, 2023, The First Company Governor’s Foot Guard, along with their sister companies and other elements of the Connecticut Military Department, took part in the Inaugural Ceremonies for Governor Ned Lamont.The First Company prides itself on being the longest serving, unparalleled historical Unit in the State of Connecticut as well as the United States.A tradition of escorting the Governor standing strong for more than 250 years, we are honored to continue and carry out this historical tradition and serve the State of Connecticut.Photos courtesy of the Army National Guard.
