Brigadier General Hastings recently visited Texas State Guard (State Defense Force) troops before they performed a Search & Rescue (SAR) mission with the Fannin County Emergency Management Team.
BG Hastings: Saturday morning I had the privilege to visit with soldiers of the 1BDE GSAR team conducting search operations in support of Fannin County Emergency Management. This was the first mission for several recent graduates of the TXSG SAR Technician qualification. It was extremely hot, the terrain was challenging, but the team did us all proud. 1st Brigade.
