
New Class of Officers Graduate from Georgia SDF Officer Candidate School
The Georgia State Defense Force recently held a ceremony to recognize and congratulate the new class of Officers that recently graduated from the Basic Officer Leadership Course (BOLC). The Officers can now remove their training O.C.S. ranks and replace them with their Commissioned Ranks they were assigned by the Georgia State Defense Force & Governor of Georgia. The new Officers will now return to their home units and stand ready to serve their State and Country.

Georgia State Defense Force (GSDF) 2nd Lt. Lewis Reddick, recipient of the Basic Officer Leadership Course (BOLC) Col. Timothy A. Bumann Leadership Award recognizes a BOLC student who consistently demonstrated GSDF leadership attributes and competencies. The award is named for Col. Bumann, a U.S. Coast Guard veteran, who devoted years of service to the GSDF before passing away in April 2017.BOLC graduates officers and warrant officers who are the functional equivalent of their Georgia Army National Guard counterparts. 2nd Lt.
