Puerto Rico SDF makes remote communication possible

The Puerto Rico State Guard (State Defense Force) recently conducted an exercise where they were able to setup and attain communications in a remote part of Puerto Rico with the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and all bases and armories on the island.

Here is the official news item:

Communication Connection

The Puerto Rico State Guard Signal 002 Communication Co., supports the mission in Lake Guajataca area in Quebradillas and Isabela, Puerto Rico, coordinating and installing communication lines where it seemed impossible, March 14. The Signal 002, has demonstrated their knowledge and skills in this field, where they were able to design and execute a plan to make communications possible from a remote location such as the area where Lake Guajataca is located. Thanks to a type “V” antenna placed on a palm tree, they have achieved communication with the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and all bases and armories on the island. (PRNG photos by: Spc.
