Troops of 2nd Battalion, 1st Brigade of the Texas State Guard (State Defense Force) recently certified on heavy engineering equipment. The State Guard has numerous missions, such as Operation Lone Star, which require the usage of such machinery to help complete the mission.
Adding to their skills as engineers, soldiers from 2BN, C Co., 1BDE, trained and certified on heavy equipment to increase their mission-ready capabilities and provide critical infrastructure support as needed. Thanks to the following companies for their support: Kodiak Gas Services for the donation of safety equipment, ASCO Lubbock for their training facility and heavy plant equipment, and Fore Safety for conducting the training and certification.
