New Class of Tennessee Soldiers Ready for Duty

The Tennessee State Guard (State Defense Force) recently celebrated the graduation of a fresh class of recruits from their Initial Entry Training (IET) program.  IET (Basic Training), serves as the foundational training ground, equipping recruits with essential military skills and knowledge. The course meticulously mirrors the basic training regimen of the United States Military, ensuring that participants are well-versed in Basic Soldiering Skills. This comprehensive training encompasses everything from understanding the Chain of Command and engaging in rigorous Physical Training, to mastering the intricacies of Drill & Ceremony. The curriculum is meticulously designed to ensure that once activated, these new soldiers can integrate and operate seamlessly alongside their National Guard counterparts, upholding the highest standards of military conduct and readiness.

Upon successful completion of the Initial Entry Training, the graduates are poised to return to their respective home units, armed with the skills and knowledge acquired during their intensive training period. The journey, however, does not end here. These soldiers are now committed to a continuous process of learning and development, ensuring they remain sharp and prepared for any challenges that may arise. The State Defense Force remains steadfast in its mission to provide well-trained and highly capable troops, ready to answer the call of duty whenever and wherever they are needed. The graduation of this new class of recruits stands as a testament to the Tennessee State Guard’s unwavering commitment to excellence and its vital role in bolstering the state’s military readiness and capabilities.
