Texas State Guard troops recently assisted The New Vision Church Community move into a new facility. These Texas State Guard troops are Active Duty troops that are part of Operation Lone Star, they utilized the limited off duty time they have to help the Church move their food, clothing and supplies into a new distribution facility.
The New Vision Church provides a whole wealth of charity services, from donating food, clothing to local families in need to building Bio Stoves for families in Guatemala. These Bio Stoves are designed and built for families in Guatemala so they wont suffer from carbon monoxide poisoning when cooking meals.
The Texas State Guard routinely helps multiple organizations outside of their training and active duty missions, such as High School JROTC Programs, National Guard ChalleNGe Program, Toy Drives for Children, Boy Scouts, as well as many other organizations.
Texas State Guard Service Members deployed on Operation Lone Star used their down time to answer the call by the TXSG Chaplain Corps to help move the Center to a new site.
